Green-Thistle

Not really a thistle at all, Sea Holly (Eryngium) endures poor soil, drought and salty air and is therefore favoured by seaside gardeners. It has fabulously spiky leaves. For no good reason, I included a quote from a medieval French chanson - Le Roman de Renart.
